This wool landscape is a very satisfying project. Easy enough for a beginner, but still enjoyable for an experienced felter. This kit makes a great gift for a crafty friend or family member, or treat yourself and enjoy the process of creating something beautiful. Hang it in a special place or give it away - nothing says “I love you” like handmade art.

Needle felting is a fun and stress-relieving (even meditative) art form. It’s a lovely group activity to do with a few of your favorite people but it’s also an ideal solo craft for times when you’re hunkered down at home.

Felting time: 3-4 hrs. depending on individual felting speed.

Kit is beautifully packaged and includes:

Beginner's Guide to Needle Felting (a bit of general information)
Instruction Sheet with pictures of every step
Link to video instructions (highly recommended!)
Two color-coded felting needles in a handy paper tube
Two types of felting wool
Linen fabric backing
High quality 7 in. wooden hoop

You will also need:

Scissors and glue to secure the picture in the hoop once it is finished.
A mat to use as a work surface. Choose from foam or wool. Foam is the most economical but wears out the fastest. Wool is eco-friendly, very long lasting and works particularly well for this project but is a higher up front investment.

The very first needle felting project that I had ever done was the same as this one but on the thick felt backing. My sister and I just sold our family home in the country in Upstate NY. I miss it so much and I miss going for long walks in the fall with the fresh air and beautiful foliage. This pattern reminds me of that and it will be a beautiful reminder of those cool fall days A++++.
