Announcement
Hey, Thanks for your interest in our orchids and plants! With cold weather, please note that we do offer heat packs on a separate listing. The cost of the heat pack also includes an upgrade to USPS Priority or UPS Ground (our recent experience is that UPS is a bit more reliable than USPS).
(Contrary to what you might think, orchids are just fine in a box for a couple of weeks, and in many cases, a month or more. We've shipped hundreds of thousands of plants since 2006 and know all about this stuff.)
If you need something before or by a date certain (e.g., Mother's Day, birthdays, etc), UPS is the best option; we do offer upgrades to UPS 3-Day (which will cost $15 - $20+ depending on order size).
Kindly note: Once your package is with the carrier, it is OUT OF OUR CONTROL. Oh, and by the way, another thing WE DON'T CONTROL IS THE WEATHER.
We'll always do our best to resolve any problems, but let's just say that politeness and respect go a long way in the orchid world (and most other worlds).
QUESTIONS OR JUST NOT SURE? Please send us a message/email; we'll be happy to help you (up until about the third or fourth email, as 15+ years' experience has shown us that people who pepper us with questions for 3 or 4 emails usually end up not ordering anything, or just turn out to be a PITA after they do order. For such folk, we invite you to order from our competitors who will, no doubt, be happy to help you.

5 out of 5 starsSuch a beautiful little plant! I’m excited for it to bloom—so far it’s been growing well and is very healthy looking but doesn’t have any sign of stalks yet. I don’t mind waiting because it gives me something else to look forward to! Exactly as described and fast shipping. Thank you!!

I am a geneticist who got addicted to orchids (and other cool plants). I'm constantly learning new things about orchids, which is part of the fun. I also like to share what I've learned with fellow orchid enthusiasts, so if you have ?s, pls ask.

Frequently asked questions
How long can orchids handle being in the mail?
Contrary to popular misconception, most orchids can handle being in the mail for several weeks. We've been shipping orchids since 2006, and have seen packages lost in the mail and returned to us 3 or 4 weeks (or even 8 weeks!) later, and the plants were fine!
Do you replace or refund if a plant arrives in poor condition?
Yep. Weird things can and do happen to a package while it's in the mail system, and a small fraction of plants arrive in not-so-great shape (or worse). We take pride in taking care of our customers, and will replace free of charge any plant that does not arrive in reasonable condition (in our judgment). Please do send a photo (in focus, please!) of your plant -- some inexperienced folks see damage/stress when there's nothing wrong with the plant itself; some plants are indeed damaged beyond recovery (usually due to too hot or too cold weather conditions). This policy DOES NOT APPLY to orders placed during cold weather/winter conditions if the buyer did not also purchase a heat pack and a faster shipping service.
When you ship a package out, do you also control the weather or USPS, UPS, or FedEx?
Well, uhhhh... This is something we're still working on. We've tried but it turns out that this is really hard to do. We're not sure if controlling the weather or controlling US Postal Service is harder. So until further notice, please assume that we DO NOT control the weather nor USPS, UPS, or FedEx.
