It will thrive in a sunny spot where it receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. It needs moderate watering, always wait for the soil to dry out before watering. The ideal growing temperature is 60-85°F (15-30°C).
Soil
Kalanchoe pinnata needs a well-draining but fertile soil mix to grow well. This plant suffers in heavy soils and should not be potted in just regular garden soil. A succulent mix with some organic compost is a good choice. It tolerates slightly acidic to slightly alkaline soils.
How to fertilize Kalanchoe Pinnata
Nutrient, fertilizer, and repotting need for Kalanchoe Pinnata: repot it after 2X growth.
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil, it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Kalanchoe Pinnata after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.
*Because all of the information is available online, I only send printed CARE TIPS if the customer requests it in order to reduce the environmental footprint.
Please, allow your plant to acclimate to your home for 1-2 weeks before repotting.
