I would have given this place a 1, if not for the zany, joker that greeted us. As far as everything else, the place is a dump. Best logistical move would be stay in Chiayi. Take early bus or train to alishan. You can walk all the trails in 4 hours. Then bus back to Chiayi. About 2 hours. Pick up train in whichever direction you are heading!
