Some of the happiest moments of my life have been spent exploring Virginia’s woodlands and the river, creeks and streams flowing through the New River Valley of Southwest Virginia. I enjoy sharing these moments through my watercolor paintings.

I’ve always had a deep love of nature and an appreciation of nature’s artistry and I find the organic nature of watercolor ideal for expressing the wonders of the natural world.

Native plants and animals are my favorite subjects. Even a tiny insect intrigues me. “Nature is to be found in her entirety nowhere more than in her smallest creatures.” (Pliny the Elder - AD 23-79).

Companion animals, especially my cats, are also frequently featured in my paintings.

Art has and always will be an integral part of my life.
