5 out of 5 starsA gorgeous fibre blend - could see from the photos that the silk was not fully blended and this is exactly how I like it because it makes the silk ‘pop’. The colours are deep and it’s just beautiful. Bought as a little treat (I have a large stash and do not need any more fibre really) and what a lovely treat it is!

5 out of 5 starsI never end up using these fantastic batt food rovings. I always end up spinning them straight away. They create the most fun colourful yarns. I need to get more and hopefully will one day use a bag for a art batt😁

Frequently asked questions
Can you mark the CN22 Customs label as 'gift' so I don't have to pay VAT?
NO.
Please do not ask me to do this. Your items will be marked as 'Sale of goods' and you are responsible for paying the VAT and handling charge for your country. Booooo!
My order hasn't arrived and I'm getting worried. What should I do?
Don't worry! Message me here on ETSY and let me know that your order hasn't arrived. We'll take it from there. Sometimes there are strikes, bad weather, and general mistakes that can really delay a parcel.
Do you do wholesale?
I'm sorry, I can't offer wholesale or discounts. Pricing my items any lower would be unfair to me.
How do you package your fibre?
Most of my fluff is packaged in clear cellulose biodegradable bags that I buy from Eco-craft.co.uk. My dyed braids are packed in brown paper counter bags and closed with a little piece of washi paper.
The Eco-craft site says ''These bags are made in the UK from cellophane film that has been accredited biodegradable & compostable to 'BS EN 13432' and 'OK Compost'. They are also approved for Anaerobic digestion (ISO 15985) & Marine biodegradation ASTM D6691-09. The film has also tested to ensure that once composted there are no adverse effects on the plant growth''
I may occasionally send items without any packaging. I may sometimes indeed to package my fibre in plastic grip seal bags - but only if the item is too big for my usual bags.
What sort of mailers do you use?
All my orders are currently sent in brown Kraft paper mailers - UK and international. I also use cardboard boxes and I may also reuse old boxes for larger orders. Kraft paper mailers are splash proof but they probably won't survive being left out in the rain. From years of sending plastic mailers, I can tell you that not even plastic mailers can keep the water out. If you can, please have a safe place for your parcel to be left - I'd be happy to write a note for the postie on the mailer.
Is your Merino non-mulesed?
YES! and it always has been.
My batts and tops are made from 21 micron Merino supplied by Wingham Wool and World of wool. My yarn bases are supplied by Chester wool. All from the UK
Verpackungsgesetz Packaging Register Germany
Spin Jones is now registered with Lucid (DE2923740435689) and my Duel System Licensing partner for the collection, sorting and recycling of the packaging is ACTIVATE by RECLAY.
Your orders will arrive in Kraft paper packaging, or a cardboard box. Your batts will be sent in biodegradable Natureflex packaging which you should keep and reuse if possible and then you can dispose in either in your own home compost bin (if you have one) or in your household waste bin. In theory, they should be able to go in with the paper as they are cellulose BUT it's difficult to know which places will accept them. We're still in a grey area of non-plastic packaging where not everyone is geared up to recycle them or compost them.
Can I pick up my order from you?
I'm really sorry, but I don't offer local collections. I'm an online business and I no longer work from a workshop that is open to the public.
