The Loving Egg is a passion project started 3 years ago when I began searching for an Easter egg option for my children that did not contribute to plastic waste and was not made with toxic chemicals. Conscious parenting is the inspiration for this creation!

Every year around Easter, hundreds of millions of plastic eggs are sent to landfills. This throwaway culture has led to plastic polluting our oceans (and fish). They release toxic chemicals as they decompose. These eggs not only have a detrimental impact on the environment, they also have a detrimental effect on your children. Many contain toxins including BPA (Bisphenol A ), phthalates, and heavy metals including lead.

Our mission at The Loving Egg is to create an egg that is food grade, toxin free, eco-friendly, heat resistant, and versatile.

The Loving Egg can be used for:
*imaginary play
*bath time
*play time with sand or mud
*development of motor skills
*packing snacks
*storage of knick knacks
*sound shaker for sensory stimulation
*baking and cooking
*egg hunts

The possibilities are endless and when you're done, just throw them in the dishwasher (not the landfill).

Our products have been third party tested in the United States for BPA, phthalates, lead (and other soluble metals including mercury, cadmium, and arsenic), flammability, and mechanical safety for ages 3+.

We have also ensured that our packaging lines up with our values. Our cellophane wrapper and mailer are both compostable and our labels are created with recycled cardstock with soy based ink.
