Epipremnum aureum, or Jade Pothos, is an easy to care for, green trailing plant. Sometimes mistaken for philodendron, because of its trailing nature and similar heart shaped leaves, this plant does best when allowed to cascade over a pot or hanging basket. Pothos can also be trained to grow on a pole or trellis. This plant is commonly found in office spaces because of its tolerance to low light conditions and low water needs.

Light

Prefers medium to bright filtered or indirect light. Can tolerate lower light, however, the foliage color may not be as vibrant.

Water and Soil

This Pothos likes to dry by about 50% between watering during the growing season. It can tolerate even drier conditions during fall and winter. Jade Pothos prefers a standard well draining potting soil.

Temperature and Humidity

Prefers room temperatures between 65 degrees F and 85 degrees F. Don't let temperatures fall below 55 degrees F. This plant does well at standard household humidity levels but it also benefits from higher humidity. If the leaves of your plant start to turn brown and crispy along the edges start misting it every week or so.
