We all know that this is a crazy, bizarre dumpster fire of a year. We have Tobias, The Toilet Paper https://www.etsy.com/listing/892077289 as 2020's mascot and now he's joined by Dominick The Dumpster Fire!

Quarantine, covid, toilet paper shortages, virtual schooling, masks. This year has been the craziest most of us have lived through. This cute little flaming dumpster will bring a smile to your face or to someone you love. He is constructed using yarn and plastic canvas to give his sides some support. You can use him as an ornament or a cute little gift box. The lid lifts to reveal a small, empty section that can be used to put a little gift inside.

This is a ten page PDF file with tons of pictures to help you along. It uses worsted weight yarn and a D hook. (although you can use any yarn you would like.) Dominick measures 3 inches wide by 2 inches deep. His flame gives him a height of 4 inches (2 inches without flames)!

The lid opens, the flame can be removed and the inside walls are fully covered so it's as nice when you open it as when it is closed.

This pattern is good for an ambitious beginner. It is written in English only using American crochet terms.

I mean it’s a download so shipping really doesn’t apply. Quality of pattern is great. I haven’t made it yet but looks like a no brainer. Plan to make several but will use polyfill and sew closed also will add a second lid to hang off the back as if that lid is open.

I haven't made it yet, but the instructions are very easy to follow and I like that she included helpful tips like with the cardboard. Everything is very concise and has pictures to help.
