The plastic-free, super flexible, handbag friendly, reusable, washable bag for life is making a big comeback! Nutley's organic cotton string bags are good not only as a shopping bag for life, but also for storing produce such as potatoes and all root veg, drying onions and garlic from the allotment, or using as a grow-your-own harvesting trug.

Much more accommodating and stretchy than a plastic bag, it's incredible how much you can fit in to a single string bag. Then, when the bag has finally reached the end of its usefulness, it will biodegrade naturally, helping to reduce the masses of polythene and plastic waste we produce daily.

We've given some ideas for food and shopping, but there are plenty of other uses for string bags too, including sports bags (great for tennis balls), shoe bags, clothes storage bags (the air circulates nicely), toy bags, cloakroom bags, beach or swimming bags (helps prevent the wet towel going mouldy), gym locker bags and more.

Available with short or long handles, each bag measures approximately 40cm wide by 58cm in height when laying flat. Made in India with organic cotton, especially commissioned by Nutley's.

At Nutley’s Kitchen Gardens, we aim to get your kitchen and garden goods to you as soon as possible. This is why we offer a same day dispatch on all orders within the United Kingdom placed before 12 noon Monday – Friday*. If we have any complication fulfilling your order, we will reach out to you with the information you provide within 24 working hours.

Second Class Postage within the United Kingdom is included in the price of all the products. For this service, we use Royal Mail, UK Mail or DHL. Our lighter parcels are sent through Royal Mail and heavier goods are sent through UK Mail and DHL.

If your delivery needs to be sent via couriers, such as UK Mail or DHL, a delivery notification will be sent to the email address you provide and/or the mobile number you provide when you place your order.

For a speedier next-day delivery, there is an additional charge of £5.50 per order.

For any deliveries being sent outside of the United Kingdom, our standard postage cost is £10.50. However, some products exceed the size or weight limit of being able to be sent overseas. If this is the case, Nutley’s Kitchen Gardens reserve the right to cancel these orders and will contact you about cancelling this order within 24 working hours.

All of our orders are dispatched within one working day and dispatched the same day if ordered before 12 noon. Our working days are Monday to Friday. The estimated delivery times for each of our postage options are as follows:

Free Second Class delivery is 3 to 5 working days.
Royal Mail First Class is 1 to 2 working days.
Free Standard Courier is 1 to 3 working days.
24 Hour Courier is delivery 1 to 2 working days.
