A word about mantelpieces or doorway drapes...Doorways and mantels require that the direction of the boughs on the garland are split so both sides fall gracefully with gravity and end symmetrically in a point. To do that, I use two of my small sprays to fill the gap that is created when I split the boughs. The up-charge is small, but the effect is beautiful. Reach out for me to get this special treatment. If I don't hear from you, all of the garland will come to you as it, with all boughs pointing in one direction.
Please note: While the standard length for each of these garlands is 6 feet, and the price reflects that length, I can make these any length you need. Just reach out for me to let me know your specific desires, and I’ll make a special listing for you.
This one-time investment, the cost of fresh, puts gorgeous garland in your home year after years. I’ve had mine for nine years. Still gorgeous! If you want details on what's on the mantel shown in the first image, look below. Yes, both types can take the weather. I have used the same strands on my front porch for years now, and they look great. The first image shows mixed needle garland, pearl garland, and ribbon, each sold separately in my store.
Simply the most natural looking faux garland I have found anywhere...and I'm ridiculously picky. Two types of pine, Mixed Variety and Long-Needled Pine. When people ask me to describe the difference, I say the mixed pine is a little fuller, and the long-needle pine is a little more sleek. Both are gorgeous and I have both in my home.
(1) Mixed-variety with both white pine and scotch pine boughs, shown in the first three images and a closeup in the fourth image in front of the brick fireplace...Woven together you see long-needled boughs, just like those you find on white pine and shorter like those on Scotch pine. Like its sister, this garland looks great embellished or just as it is. Sizable real pine cones, averaging 3.5" x 5" accent this lovely garland. And just like the long-needle pine, each strand is 6 feet long and has the ability to hook to the next length without breaking the flow. The ribbons and beaded garland are sold separately. https://notbeforejava.patternbyetsy.com/listing/1132366495/special-order-gorgeous-garland-long
(2) Long-needled white pine garland just has those long needled boughs that you can find on white pine. Lovely. Cascading. Same pine cones, length, gorgeous effect. The cascading stairway and door decor shots showcase this garland.
(3) Red berry garland: I show a few images with red berries and will weave them into your pine on request. Our red berry garland is weather-resistant and oh-so-eye catching!
(4) Want lights? Ribbons? Contact me with the type you want, 100 minis plug-in, or two types of battery/remote lights (fairy and minis)
Are you thinking of putting this on the stair railing and wondering about how much you would need to give it as swag? Generally, a 6 foot strand of garland will swag nicely across 45 inches of railing.
Many have asked about the mantel pictured: 6.5 feet wide, 50 inches to the hearth, 63 inches to the floor. I used three strands of garland to make the side drape you see with loosely draped gold ribbon (a typical 10 yard roll is great) and five strands of the pearl garland, also in my shop.
When deciding what you want, consider if you want lights and how you'll hide those extension cords (not an issue with battery-operated LEDs). I chose to drape the ribboned pic to the floor in this room just to hide those cords, and I connect to an Amazon plug that responds to voice commands or pre-programming through an Echo dot (Alexa). So slick.
