This delightful Country Cottage is crafted from natural timber, with six windows to look through and provide light. A cosy upstairs platform is accessed by a ladder, giving your children all the room they need to play and create their own world of fun and adventure.
Designed to give a charming countryside feel, the Rowlinson Country Cottage Playhouse includes traditional features such as four window boxes, dormer windows, stable style doors and a cute miniature chimney.
Pressure treated against rot, the Country Cottage features 12mm tongue and groove cladding and a sturdy 14mm boarded floor. Arriving in its natural finish the playhouse can be painted or stained offering the opportunity to customize and decorate to suit your garden and further enhance your children’s experience of play.
Safety is Rowlinson’s priority and all playhouses are fully compliant with European Standard EN71 for child safety and retested whenever necessary to ensure compliance, giving you peace of mind that your children will be safe while still enjoying play.
The Country Cottage playhouse is recommended for children aged three and above.

Room for improvement.
It’s okay but attention to detail on some of the panels needed.
For example -
On the roof panels, you could have made sure that each panel could link tongue to groove.
The Dormers
Be prepared people! The dormer cheeks will not sit flush to the roof profile.
I’ve also changed the LH dormer to an opener to allow air into the higher roof space - used piano hinge and added a frame.
If your children love spiders - then this will be the playhouse for them!
We had to buy a fair amount of additional timber and moulding.
The windows - again spider city for the generous gaps to the side shutter only windows. !
I’ve panelled the sides internally with 6 mm ply and added sliding window with frame to the inside so that it can be wind/ rain / nice n watertight
I’ve also insulated behind the panels with foil roll - gives equivalent to 55mm insulation but much cheaper!
Front door - big gaps to allow those friendly little Stuart Little mice to snuggle up in your little persons play things.

I’ve dropped the door lower, added infill to the top and installed a threshold.
I’ve also added a porch - my preference, this is still work in progress going to add shoe shelf to just inside to the right !
Would recommend using D4 glue or similar to aid sealing the gaps.
The felt is very thin and in due course I will re tile felt.
The standard of finish to the panels is also very poor - big knots, very rough finish requiring a huge amount of filling, sanding and further sanding because remember people… if you don’t look after and protect your £1100-£1600. Investment then you will not get a penny - because wood is a natural product.
Hmmmm.
So - would I buy again? I think I would but my expectations were higher than the product I received.
The windows - at best thick plastic bag.
I’ve bought sheets of plastic glaze to replace what was supplied.
The bed area; we did not take comfort from the small screws to hold the weight of this area.
We added support and used our own fixings.
A basic shed is more sealed than this!

Appalling product
Astonishingly bad quality. Shutters don’t fit, perspex missing, incredibly flimsy - simply terrible. I stupidly did not read other reviews. Do not by this! Spend more, get better or don’t bother.

The estimated time for delivery was two weeks, so I was super excited to receive it in just a few days, delivery driver ver good communication, very well packaged. That’s where it ends. Shoddily put together, poor instructions, polythene for windows, shutters too small, door too small, ladder to mezzanine floor not adequate (rungs too far apart) I could go on but you get my drift…..

Poorly built, terrible instructions and not safe
I bought this for my 7 year old son and its a massive disappointment. I have spent hours trying to put it together, with people who are qualified to build. The instructions are terrible and the fit and fixings are really poor. The boards are wafer thin, the first time I stood on the floor the panel split. The felt split and had to buy replacement felt. I tried contacting the supplier, who asked for photos and then never got back to me. This is not worth the money and when I approached Robert Days they sent me to the supplier, I didn't buy it from them. I have an unfinished house, the window dormas don't fix together properly, there are too big a gap between the frame and window to be able to screw them into place and there is no frame to fit them to so my brother had to build extra frames to fix the windows otherwise they are fixed to the very thin board. The platform is held up by crews around the side and a ladder on one side, leaving the other side with no support, I tried to move the ladder to support both sides, but with the raise on the deck it's not possible. This is a really poorly made, and definitely not worth the money. A very sad little boy.

In the UK you have a legal right, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations June 2014, to cancel your order within fourteen (14) days following your receipt of the goods. Refunds for orders cancelled under the provisions of the Consumer Contracts Regulations will be processed in accordance with your legal rights.

Contact our Customer Services team who will be able to arrange a collection for your item with the supplier. Please ensure that you provide your order number when contacting customer services.
If you are not at home when we try to collect we reserve the right to deduct from your refund or charge your credit card the direct costs to us of the failed return in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
