55 Customer Reviews

  • "Another wonderful stay at Jackson Cottage in beautiful Alnmouth."

The cottage is perfectly situated right in the village with fabulous views from the window seat of the beach. Parking can be a challenge but we always found somewhere not too far from the cottage, we wouldn’t want more parking and less village. We visited Bistro 23 for another fabulous meal and had some delicious food from the deli. We had to contact the owners due to a self- induced drama (!) and Catherine couldn’t have been more kind or helpful. Can’t wait to return!

Where you’ll be staying

ALNMOUTH

Alnwick 4 miles.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.
