This is a PDF crochet pattern for a Bulky Stegosaurus (Dinosaur) Blanket! This is one of the most requested designs I’ve had since the shark blanket went viral!
This blanket is designed to cocoon only around the feet; the rest of the blanket opens up to lay over the body. I’ve designed this pattern to work up quickly. The blanket uses 2 strands of bulky weight yarn and a 16mm Q hook. The pattern is a simple design using basic stitches. This pattern comes in preschool to large adult sizes with tips on how to modify pattern for infant sizes.

This pattern is written in Standard American terms.

Yarn Requirements:
Preschool (child, adult):
9 (12,17) skeins in Eucalyptus - yardage 972 (1296, 1836)
1 skein in Clay - yardage 108
2 skeins in Wine - yardage 216
Small amount of Forest for spots
2 -30mm buttons for eyes or small amount of black yarn
16mm Q Hook
9mm Crochet Hook (M-13)

I got this pattern and one other as a blanket for my soon to be 3 year old grandson. He doesn't talk, he growls or makes noise like any other kid these days. Funny story, my grandson goes into a MacDonald's and opens the door to another little boy his age. They don't talk, they stood there and growled at each other. Everyone was in stitches.
