Garments are usually measured flat, then doubled for bust, waist and hips. At times there may be extra room, for example, an item with a very tailored bust that cannot be entirely laid flat. Please go by measurements in the listing, and ask any fit related questions prior to purchase. An item not fitting is never a reason for an unsatisfied customer. Vintage clothing may require altering as sizing may be a different standard; people are often taller now for example. Do not go by the Estimate Size or photos alone. If you are ever unsure, please check with me before purchasing. I'm happy to help.

CWV keeps shipping costs low by using lightweight materials when possible. Items 12 oz or less are sent via USPS 1st Class. Per USPS, packages over 1 lb. are sent by Priority Mail. Int’l items are sent by 1st Class Int’l and may be subject to Customs Fees. Re Free Shipping, I believe in being transparent and sadly there is simply no such thing ~ shops either roll the cost into the price, which may be illegal, or it's absorbed by the Seller. Rolling shipping to an item price is also unfair to Int’l Buyers as they end up paying twice. I offer Free Domestic Shipping for items over $200 to say Thank You and yes I absorb this cost. Otherwise, FS is something a little e-boutique like mine doesn't have the budget for. Thank you for understanding.

Authentic vintage is a garment or accessory between 20 to 100+ years old! Items have usually been worn, may have slight imperfections, fabrics/stitching may be delicate. As such, all items are sold As-Is. That said, every item is thoroughly inspected and all details / flaws are noted. Most items do not have material tags thus my subjective description of the fabric "feel." As needed, garments are mended, hand washed, pressed/steamed or dry cleaned. If the fabric will likely shrink, or if its dry clean only, I will not wash the item. Either way, it is Buyer's responsibility to clean an item before wearing. Lastly, as our sweet kitty Emma Boo passed in March 2021, CWV is a smoke and pet free environment.

Only accessories original to the piece and specifically described in the listing are included with purchase. All crinolines, contrasting belts, necklaces, scarves or other items on mannequins or models are for inspiration only and are not included. All included pieces, including original self-fabric belts will be clearly and explicitly described in the listing.

Layaway / Reserve is available for regular priced items over $100, and require a minimum non-refundable 20% Deposit to go into effect. Items between $100 and $300 may be put on a 30-day layaway, items over $300 may be put on a 60-day extended Layaway plan and if desired, items over $1000 may be put on a 90-day plan. Layaway cannot be combined with sale prices, coupons or other discounts. Customers may put more than one item on Layaway, but cannot combine prices to extend the length of the layaway.
NOTE: There is a 2-hour waiting window on New Listings before being eligible for Layaway or Reserve. You may message me on a new listing to be put in the queue for either option but there is no guarantee an item will be available after 2 hours.

Generally all sales are Final. Returns/exchanges are handled on a case-by-case basis & only if CWV has made an error. Shipping costs for Int’l customers are non-refundable. NO EXCEPTIONS. Allowed returns are subject to a 20% Restocking Fee, Plus $10 Shipping for Domestic Customers. All issues must be made via Etsy messaging within 48 hours of receipt. Returns must be approved by CWV prior to return, or will not be refunded, and made w/in 48 hours after our communication. Items must be in same condition & packaged the same as received. Returns will not be accepted for a garment which was tried on, damaged or any fit related issue. Buyer is responsible for return shipping unless the reason for return was gross misrepresentation by CWV.

Returns or exchanges are allowed on rare occasions & only when I have made an Egregious Error. Otherwise, there are no returns ~ but not to worry, I am tedious and precise noting any flaws I find in word and photos, and measuring every item exactly. Again refunds are not provided for an item that doesn't fit ~ see Measurements Policy above. While I am precise, I do not inspect with a magnifying glass; thus returns/exchanges are not accepted nor are refunds (whole or partial) given for small imperfections that are hard to see / easy to miss / do not detract / are not visible when worn, i.e., pinholes, minor missing stitches, minor repairs, inconspicuous fade, missing beads, or conditions which are visible in photos but may not be mentioned.

USPS provides shipping insurance coverage up to $100 at no cost. Additional insurance is Not be added to orders over $100 Unless requested and paid for BY Customer PRIOR to Shipping. For example, if your purchase is $300 and you’d like to insure the additional $200 in case something goes awry through the Post Office, please contact CatWoman Vintage BEFORE making your purchase preferably, or prior to shipment, to add additional coverage. CWV takes every measure to carefully package all items but is not responsible once they are handed over to the Post Office. Thank you for understanding.
