Silk Purse, Sow's Ear is a jewelry shop specializing in personalized necklaces, engraved photo lockets, zodiac inspired gifts and dangle earrings using good quality materials. We love using animals including birds, bees and squirrels to create wearable jewelry with a sense of fun. All of our packaging is made from recycled and biodegradable materials. We are based from a small studio in Edinburgh, Scotland.

We encourage our customers to submit their chosen personalization or photographs as soon as possible after ordering, to avoid any delay in making their order. However, we are always happy to place orders on hold to allow extra time for those who need it.
♡ CANCELLING YOUR ORDER ♡
Order cancellations, including personalized items, can be accepted up to twelve hours after placing your order. Payment refunds will be requested immediately upon cancellation. Outside this twelve hour cancellation timeframe, please contact us to check on your order status and if we can help, we will.

How Do I Track My Order?

How long will it take to arrive?
Our turnaround time for photo lockets is currently 3 working days after ordering. (Non-personalised jewellery is posted in 1 working day.)
After we post your order, US customers can usually expect their package in around 7-10 days.
UK orders usually arrive within 3 working days.

How do I send my photos in?
After you’ve ordered, all you need to do is message us via Etsy with your chosen images, in the best resolution you have, and we will take care of the rest!
It may be necessary to send images over two separate messages (Etsy currently can only allow a maximum of three attachments per message) which is absolutely fine.
If you have any problems with sending your photos, we will always get in touch with you to help.
What kind of photos work best inside lockets?
While we can work with nearly any image, we want your locket to look its best! So we will always let you know if your image isn’t working out, and give you the opportunity to send another.
It’s useful for us to have a little background, so faces which are very closely cropped might not look the best in the locket. For our TINY lockets, please avoid group photos (stick to a maximum of two people per photo).
