This is the knitting pattern to make my Crystal & Wire Necklace.
I have made this available for crafters who already have most of the materials to make this piece - or wish to use up their jewellery supplies in trying a new craft.
This necklace is a perfect match to my Crystal & Wire Bracelet pattern.
The pattern consists of written instructions and a chart to indicate where the crystals need to be knitted in.
The size of the necklace will depend on your tension, a tight knitter will produce a slightly smaller knitted piece, so you may wish to add a few rows. Approximately 4 rows of knitted wire = 1cm.
Materials & Equipment needed:
• Crystal bicone beads 4mm x 108 – in colours of your choice
• 0.25mm / 30 gauge coloured enamelled copper jewellery wire x 20 metres
• 3:1 Necklace connector endings x 2, 2x 5mm split rings, 1x lobster clasp and 1x extension chain
• 3mm knitting needles
• Small sewing needle with eye large enough for wire
• Jewellery pliers to attach lobster clasp and extension chain to 3:1 necklace connector.
• Row counter
The wires are widely available online - I sell a few colours in my etsy store.
