"Jasmine Cottage is our go-to accommodation for all our visits to the fab Northumberland coast."
It is spotlessly clean, well equipped and well maintained. Inside is very comfortable (don't be put off by the downstairs bathroom, the stairs are super easy and lit) and the garden is beautifully cared for. Sue is knowledgeable, contactable and responsive and cares about the enjoyment of her guests. The village is quiet and tidy and has a fab pub and shop. The location is great for our needs - close to the beaches of Alnmouth and Alnwick nearby. Highly recommend.

"Excellent cottage in a lovely little village."
Great location for the Northumberland coast and only a couple of minutes drive from Alnmouth station for trains to Newcastle and Edinburgh.
The owners provided information on the area before we arrived and also left a welcome pack, which was a really nice touch.
I would 100% recommend.

"We had a lovely time at Jasmine Cottage."
The cottage was very clean and we had everything we needed and more. Sue left a small food hamper in a basket in the kitchen, wine and milk in the fridge. She even left dog towels and biscuits for our dog. Sue very friendly and told us places to visit. All in all we had a great time and hope to be back when the weather is warmer as it was very windy and cold when we visited in April.
Thank you for finding time to write a review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. Northumberland certainly manages to capture a piece of your heart and there is always plenty more to do.

"What a pleasure it was to stay in such comfort in a lovely well cared for cottage that had everything we could need."
Immaculate, spotless, well maintained and with homely comforts and finishing touches it is immediately obvious that the owner, who is very helpful and accessible, cares about the property and garden and the enjoyment of guests. Location is great, too - a tidy, friendly little village not far from our favourite areas. Hope to be back soon!

"Fantastic cottage in a great area."
Alnmouth is 20 minutes walk away, while Alnwick is 15 minutes in the car, and a whole load of other fantastic locations just a short drive away. The cottage was immaculate and well stocked, and the welcome basket for humans and treats for the dog were the cherry on the cake. If you have a dog with you the cottage is perfect, with a secure garden, double gated entry path and multiple good walks right out the front door. We (including the dog) had such a great time here we're looking to book again.

"An excellent property in a great location."
The owners had provided lots of extras to help with our stay. The welcome basket was a bonus to start us off. Much appreciated especially after a long journey. Flowers a lovely touch. Even biscuits and towels for the dogs! They also recommended places of interest, walks, eateries etc. We found this very useful. Clean, comfortable, ideal for visiting the wonderful beaches on the Northumberland coast. Would recommend to friends and family.

"Jasmine Cottage is a little gem in the Northumberland countryside."
Well situated in the village of Lesbury, which is connected to the main bus route and rail links.
It is well equipped and cosy and has the bonus of being dog friendly. The owners are very friendly and helpful and really couldn't have done anything more to make our stay more enjoyable. Would highly recommend!

"Very impressed by Jasmine Cottage and the owner Sue, who was extremely helpful, while remaining unintrusive."
The cottage is in a fabulous quiet village centrally situated to explore Northumberland. 15 minute walk into Alnmouth and my dog loved the whole experience,as did we. Shame the pub next door is closed but we were aware before we arrived.
Very considerate welcome hamper was waiting our arrival and the cottage was spotlessly clean and fabulously equipped.
Lots of doorstep walks too, featuring lovely wildlife.
I would recommend the cottage in a heartbeat.

The lock down occured in the last few days of our holiday. Sue sent us a copy of the Govt. ruling which permitted us to complete our holiday. The description of the holiday let was 100% accurate. It was a lovely break during a time of national crisis.

"An absolutely brilliant little gem of a cottage."
Near enough to get to all the sites of Northumberland but, far enough to enjoy a quieter holiday.
All amenities were first class. Sue, left us dog treats, tea, coffee, milk, eggs and to relax with a chilled bottle of wine.
Everything was set up to make it stay as comfortable as possible. Sue is always on the end of the phone, if, needed.
We cannot praise this little jewel of the north enough. We’ll certainly be coming back year after year

Everything was there that we needed, after a day out, it was lovely to return to a warm cosy cottage, as we were there during a wild storm. Lesbury is a small village, but great location for seeing Northumberland. Sadly the pub next door had closed, but honestly it was so cosy we didn't want to venture out. Definitely will return

"Our whole experience at Jasmine Cottage was great."
Sue (the owner) made contact with us to iron out any glitches. (There really weren't any). The cottage was spotless and comfortable. The "welcome pack" was extensive, including eggs, bread, milk, fruit, biscuits and dog treats! We were there over Christmas and Sue had even put up a few tasteful decorations. The folder of local information was very useful. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and would certainly stay there again.

"We have been to this cottage in 2016."
The cottage has been decorated since then in a very tasteful way. The welcome pack was lovely. The cottage was very clean and tidy. We have now been to Lesbury 3 times and we love it for its location. We have a dog and the beaches and coastal walks are wonderful. No doubt in the near future we will come back.

"Well appointed cottage in the heart of a quiet and picturesque village."
Comfortable and clean accommodation with nice thoughtful touches made this a real family home from home place to relax and stay. The pub next door was a real convenience for parking and served delicious home made food of a high standard and fair price. A short 10 minute walk to the local railway station enabled us to get to Edinburgh in less than an hour. A truly great experience and would highly recommend.

"This cottage is in an excellent location for exploring the whole of Northumberland."
Only 2 miles from the coast and also handy for Alnwick and Warkworth if you want to stay close by but also a great base for visiting places a bit further afield - our favourites are Lindisfarne, Ford & Etal and all the little villages along the coast between Alnmouth and Bamburgh.
The cottage itself is perfect. It's in the centre of a very pretty village next door to a good pub and is very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen. It's well-fenced and gated which is great if you have dogs.

The previous owners had provided a perfectly fine and comfortable holiday cottage. However the new owners have obviously gone to a great deal of trouble to upgrade the place. The result is an absolutely excellent cottage in which to enjoy a holiday break. Highly recommended.

used the cottage as a base for walking the area around Lesbury / Alnwick etc. Stunning area miles of wonderful clean beaches.
Disappointed over access to Alnwick castle / gardens Hulne estate walks etc for dogs.
Delighted with access to fantastic pubs and cafe's for dogs everywhere we went.
Have booked a cottage for next year again with sykes this time in the Lakes District. I wish I had waited as the £40 voucher off next booking will be wasted

Before we arrived at cottage got a phone call from owner sue asking if we needed anything which I thought was really nice cottage was well all I can say amazing everything you need was there from washing powder to bin bags the kitchen was very well stocked plenty cutlery plates pots,and what I loved was bigger freezer as usually just little one, and a dishwasher,shower was great easy to use, lovely cosy sitting room plenty of nice little touches, bed was ever so comfy garden was lovely we had lovely BBQ, lesbury lovely village with well stocked shop Alnmouth beach stunning, and thanks sue for amazing welcome pack love our little holiday Paul Elaine bomber

"This was our second visit to Jasmine cottage."
It was just as good as last year. Clean , comfortable with our every need catered for. The location of the cottage us ideal for walking with the walk to Alnmouth just over a mile through the village and following the river. Wildlife was in abundance both around the cottage and along the river bank. Sue and Dean (the owners) couldn’t be more helpful . An ideal place whether for walking or relaxing.

The post office/ Shop is 100y down the road and the stunning Northumberland Coast is very close by. Loads of amazing places to visit to suit all tastes then you get to return to Jasmine Cottage to relax. Very pleasant and helpful owner too. We’ll definitely be back.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea.
