Palo Santo is a very special and sacred wood from Peru. It has a sweet smell which only develops in the branches once they have naturally fallen from the tree and laid on the ground for a number of years. Cutting a branch from the tree would not produce the same smell, and so it would seem, this "holy wood" as it is also called, has it's own built-in protection from poaching! :) It is naturally very resinous, so I mix some white sandalwood and makko in, (which, as always with me, is a sustainably-harvested variety) more to add to the combustibility of the wood than to lend any of its own scent.

Using only herbs, barks, gums (and other parts of plants - roots, flowers etc.), I have created a line of incense that is 100% NATURAL with absolutely no chemicals or synthetic ingredients whatsoever! Each scent is an original creation and I personally make each stick or cone.

Each 4" stick burns for about half an hour. Since it is made with all natural ingredients, there are no toxins released into your home as with inferior commercial brands, plus, it smells so much more delicious! I just grind up herbs, mix them up according to my unique recipes and form sticks or cones; that's as natural as it comes! (Watch out for "hand-dipped" varieties as they are made with chemical fragrance oils and nasty fillers!)
