Frequently asked questions

Why is your Congo Citrine so cheap? Part 1.

I wanted to answer this question head-on because as a customer it's the first thing I would have wondered. Why for an almost identical piece is someone else charging $40 and you're charging $20? Does that mean that your piece is inferior and of lesser quality?

I can't promise that I have the absolute best prices on natural citrine from the Congo but I can give you some reasons why my prices might be less and it has nothing to do with quality.

I've been selling rocks for a long time and I started my business with the intention of selling rocks for as cheap as possible. In some cases my prices may be less because my profit margin is less.

I work very hard to get to the source which often means working directly with the mines.....

Why is your Congo Citrine so cheap? Part 2

My prices are able to be lower because I've cut out a lot of people in between.

I do a lot of research prior to selling an item. If I see that someone has a 6" tall Angel carving for $100 but I can't sell it for less than $300 then I move on to something else. I don't want my customers wasting $200 extra dollars on me when they can go and get a much better deal for it elsewhere.

I buy from miners and people that work directly for the mines. Many of these people have been doing this for decades. They give honest pricing and don't inflate their prices with the latest buzz words. It's the same citrine that's been there for hundreds of years whether you call it Kundalini Quartz or Lemon Citrine, or anything else.

Do you sell wholesale?

Yes.

I have many wholesale customers throughout the United States and Australia.

I can't give you a flat discount, like say that everything would be 20% off. It depends on the individual item. Some items are more like 60% off while a few might only be in the 15% off range.

If you see something you'd like wholesale I would need two pieces of information from you:

• The item(s) you want wholesale

• The quantity you want

I know it's hard to say the quantity without knowing the price but I need something to work with so just pick your ideal quanity and we'll go from there.

Has anyone else owned this rock before me?

I was asked this question for the very first time a few weeks ago and I loved it. I'd never thought of that before.

I can't think of a piece here that has been owned by another rock enthusiast.

On occasion I do sell a piece from my personal collection but I always state that it's from my own collection. Without really putting it into words in my own mind I've just felt like if I had it before then it's kind of used so I want to make sure potential buyers know that.

I don't want to give a blanket assurance that every single item in my shop is definitely brand new, never owned before so if this is ever a question for you please just ask and I'll be able to tell you for certain.

How do I learn more about crystals?

Hibiscus Moon is someone that I turn to a lot for rock and mineral information. She approaches minerals with a scentific mindset and I like that. She has an excellent book titled Crystal Grids: How and Why They Work. https://amzn.to/2Ub3CUH. Her blog is: https://hibiscusmooncrystalacademy.com/blog/.

A lot of my customers swear by Judy Hall's The Crystal Bible. https://amzn.to/2I5Heow

I have other books highlighted on my Amazon page. https://amzn.to/2HTQNrj

Mindat.org is an excellent resource, it's the first page I go to when I'm wanting to learn about a particular stone.
