Spellbinding
I was looking for another audio book to captivate me and take me from reality, and this book did just that. The narration was all in all easy for me to get lost in to. Has typical tropes but written in a way that still leaves you guessing. I enjoyed this book thoroughly.

Terrible Performance
I honestly don't usually write reviews (even though I loved to read them) but the voice artist's British accent is so bad it made me not want to finish the book. It's especially hard as a Brit to listen to her butcher pronunciations- hire a British artist instead if you're going to make 80% of the characters have this accent.
The plot is fine, the romances seem forced and I don't personally like the love triangle. There doesn't seem to be any real stakes.
I had high hopes and enjoyed the first few chapters but overall its not for me.

Good story line but bit silly
This book has a good story line, I may have enjoyed it more if i read instead of listened to it, the narrator can be a bit over the top sometimes always sounding like she reading out poetry or anguishing text. The romantic scenes are quite cringe, but if you can get passed that i really enjoyed the story line and i am looking forward to the next book.

WOW
If you want to read something just as good as the cruel prince then read this. If you want to read something like a court of thorns and roses without the racist author and no POC & LGBT representation, THEN READ THIS!!!!
It’s so amazing.
The characters, the plot, the representation, the description- it is literally indescribable.
I cant wait for book 2.
A must read!

A gorgeous story
Loved everything about this story - from the traditional Fae aspects to the uniquely enthralling premise and dynamic characters. The plot was gripping and the romance refreshingly perfect. I will write a proper review on goodreads and my bookstagram @starlight_and_blooms
* re audiobook: The narrator is perfect as the main protagonist, however, I would’ve been better to have a man do the male voices, but that’s just me being fussy.
