  • "Property was not so lovely as listed on the foto's."

(Especially the living room) Kitchen was not clean and there was an nasty smell.( Maybe the hood?) Beds were good but small. We slept separately and that was okay. Location is really wonderfull nearby the city center!

Thank you for your feedback and apologies that you felt the cottage didn't live up to expectations. It has come to light since your stay that the waste pipe from the dishwasher was leaking and so this would explain the smell in the kitchen, this has now been repaired. We would like to point out that the beds are 1 x king size and 1 x double as is stated in the listing, and the photos are recently done and so are an accurate reflection of the cottage. As you will see from countless other reviews, cleaning standards are very high, however, we will of course look into your comments re the kitchen. Property Owner

The cottage is beautiful kept and is a charming place to be for a relaxing holiday. The garden was ideal as we took our small dog perfect and secure, we also loved the roof terrace which is perfect for lovely evening relaxing. We will visit again and would highly recommend Mike O'sullivan

The proximity of off lead walking very welcome. It was a lovely cottage to relax and unwind. A blind in the kitchen would make a welcome addition. We would love to return next year as a fun time was had by all.

The location was excellent as were all the nearby restaurants, cafes and lovely independent shops. Beautiful walks can be accessed from the doorstep too. We had gorgeous weather, so spent lots of time in the pretty garden listening to the birds sing.

  • "What an amazing place to stay!"

The cottage is in a quiet location yet only a couple of minutes walk to Broadway high street with fantastic shops and dog friendly pubs. April cottage is lovingly furnished by the owners and had everything we needed for our stay. The downstairs rooms are larger than they look in the photos and the garden is beautiful. The bedrooms are well thought out and my son and his wife loved the roof terrace. My husband and I had the smaller room with ensuite and found it perfectly adequate in size and the bed was very comfortable. Having a garage and parking space close by was a real bonus and being able to load/unload outside the house was very handy. All in all a fantastic holiday cottage and I can't wait to go back!

  • "Very comfortable cottage, convenient location, garden seemed a bit neglected, parking just across the road, not far to walk to the car park."

We had no issues parking the car there. The only thing against it was it was a bit lacking in the towel, toilet roll and welcome pack front, extra towels were provided when asked. I personally would expect 3 towels per guest, A packet of biscuits and a pint Milk is worst welcome pack we have ever had. Other than that we had a nice stay.

I am sorry about this but our welcome pack is normally far more substantive than the one you received and i will certainly follow up on this. Thank you for letting me know and apologies once again. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage in a fantastic location."

Everything we could want in the cottage and enclosed garden for the dog was ideal. Broadway itself is lovely, good shops and pubs/restaurants within walking distance. Also good walking for the dog. If there in July would recommend a visit to the Cotswolds Lavender fields, really relaxing.

  • "Overall very good, decent situation in a lovely village."

Parking issue was well highlit in the details, so no surprise, but knocks the overall "would you recommend" score - for dog owners its not too convenient. Otherwise, two fixable minor problems; 1. Found a washing line and pegs, but couldn't see where to fix the line in the garden. Worth explaining, or removing line. 2. Gate into next door wouldn't bolt properly.

  • "A lovely cosy stay at April Cottage."

Very comfortable, warm and welcoming. Kitchen facilities good. Larger bath sheets would be a nice 4* touch. As someone previously has said - the garage is V small (I have a mini and it was tight!) however it’s nice and handy just over the road. Quiet area so we all slept well, comfy beds and good quality linen. Great shops and walks from the cottage. A beautiful place to explore. We would definitely return.

Thanks for your feedback, lovely to hear you enjoyed the property. We do appreciate the garage is a little tight for certain cars but of course there is the free parking space as well that can be used. Thanks again! Property Owner

It was spacious and clean, and has a lovely long garden great for the dog. Beds were comfy and we made good use of the lovely fire. The listing states the property has Sky TV but that wasn’t the case and the main oven also didn’t work - we were able to use the small side oven so not a massive issue. Overall we had a lovely 5 nights at April Cottage and would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately as it was a repair couldn't be done immediately but for us did not detract from our enjoyment. A better presented visitors book. Flowers and packet cake left, milk could be more helpful for some, we had taken provisions so not a problem. Garden needs tidying and no bread to be left out as brings many large noisy birds.

  • "April cottage was lovely and situated so near to the main road and shops and places to eat."

We were concerned about parking as this was described as 'being opposite the cottage under the archway' when in fact it was down the road opposite, under the archway and left turn into public carpark where there was an allocated space and garage. You cannot see the car park from the cottage. My husband is disabled and has a scooter which dismantles to fit in car so this added to problems but we managed to fit it in front room at cottage to avoid him walking to and from car park. in spite of this we would certainly go to April cottage again.

Thank you for your feedback, I am pleased you had an enjoyable stay. Regarding the car parking, I'm sorry you did not find it as convenient as you had hoped, it is as described in the listing 'directly opposite the cottage under the archway' which is a walk of around 150m from the door of the cottage to the allocated garage and parking space which are in the public car park opposite. I am pleased the car park cannot be seen from the cottage as this would detract from the setting of the row of cottages which April Cottage forms part. You can also load and unload on the road outside the cottage whenever you wish to so the scooter could have been unloaded and loaded into the car as required. Again, apologies if you found the parking difficult but thank you for your comments. We look forward to seeing you again hopefully. Property Owner

Great location, very comfortable cottage with all mod cons. Lovely garden to sit out in during our good weather and very efficient heating when it turned chilly. Easy walking into Broadway for shopping or eating. Although the car parking wasn't ideal, the designated spot in the nearby public car park worked satisfactorily, and we were able to load/unload luggage at the start and end of our stay in front of the cottage which made it a bit easier.
