Thank you for stopping by the BOO•tique. My name is Tracy and I have been a maker of things for as long as I can remember. I come from a long line of makers: seamstresses, knitters, crocheters, artists, quilters and all 'round funny and amazing women. I spent many hours doing needlework, sewing clothes and Halloween costumes, woodworking, quilting, crochet, and paper scrapbooking for my nieces way back in the 90's.
We were blessed with our daughter when I was at the tender age of 41; when she was two I discovered digital scrapbooking. This opened up the amazing world of Photoshop for me and through the digital scrapbooking community I made wonderful friendships. I learned so much and had endless fun creating.
When barely two years old Macy spotted the Halloween village displays in Michaels. She insisted I hold her up so she could marvel over each tiny spooky detail. Our love of Halloween blossomed (or should I say festered?). She hosted annual Halloween lunch and crafting parties while in elementary school and when hunting for crafts for the junior witches I discovered apothecary jars. We started in 2010 with a few jars made with purchased labels, and two that I designed myself.
Making and filling apothecary jars became one of our favourite fall activities together. I have always loved vintage typography - vintage everything, really. Designing labels is pure fun for me and every year our apothecary has grown. In 2017 I created more than 125 new labels and opened Crow's Feet BOO•tique. Our collection has now exploded to over 800 labels. I spend my time making labels now more than thrifting for great bottles and I love it when my customers share photos of their creations in reviews.
I hope you and your guests enjoy your apothecary as much as we do ours. You will find a few free labels and spell book printables on my cobweb laden blog; link below. Thank you for stopping by and don't forget: The official date for Halloween decorating is always October 1st... at the latest. ;)
