We exist to raise your beauty game and lower your carbon footprint because, to us, sustainable skincare isn’t a nice to have, it’s a need to have. Our goal is to create real change in the beauty industry by making products with intentional ingredients, using low-carbon production methods to keep your skin - and our planet - feeling bloody lovely.
About bybi
Our co-founders Elsie and Dominika started out in their own kitchens in the UK, meticulously crafting DIY beauty recipes with potent natural ingredients. BYBI was born in 2017 and quickly we became known for our truly clean, yet high performing formulas.
Fast forward to today and Elsie and Dominika are now-published authors, beauty podcasters and entrepreneurs who have swapped their flat’s kitchen for a state of the art, eco-lab in central London with a stellar team of scientists who help push for uncompromising results and the most climate-conscious practices, from production to packaging.

THE BYBI SUSTAINABILITY PLEDGE
INGREDIENTS
Our internal auditing system, The Susty Score, grades Harvesting, Source Location and Transport and Upcycled Ingredients, in order to glean an ingredient's carbon footprint and decipher what impact using it in a BYBI product will have on the environment.
MANUFACTURING
All BYBI products are manufactured in the UK, giving us the visibility to truly understand the carbon footprint of this part of our supply chain. As of January this year, all products are produced using green energy, primarily from wind and solar.
PACKAGING
97% of BYBI’s packaging is reusable/recyclable. We use a durable, fully recyclable bioplastic for all of our tubes, the production of which is carbon neutral. For everything we’re unable to house in sugarcane, we opt for infinitely recyclable glass.
BYBI - CARBON NEUTRAL TO CARBON NEGATIVE
We’re one of the first beauty brands to reach carbon-neutral status in 2020 by offsetting all our historical emissions. However, we are making steps to become the world’s first carbon negative beauty brand, meaning we absorb more carbon from the atmosphere than we generate. It’s a tall order and is going to be a massive challenge, but we’re up for it.
We’re working on inputting processes within our supply chain that are effective at removing enough carbon to begin to balance out the rest of our emissions, which is called carbon sequestering. We think that we’ll be able to reach full carbon negativity by 2025 and will keep you updated on our progress as we go.
