I can only list a small fraction of my items on Etsy due to the vast quantity I have collected over the years so a visit to my Amsterdam warehouse is highly recommended (by appointment only).

My name is Michiel Alexander Ansingh and I have traveled numerous roads to reach my present stage in design life. For over 25 years I have been designing couture and limited editions of costume jewelry using my collection of vintage jewelry stones and components to create a classic yet contemporary style of jewelry.

I started acquiring vast quantities of vintage stones that date back as far as the 1920s when I lived in New York City in the 1980s. I purchased stones of European origin and the heritage from many old renowned American and European jewelry houses as well as the stock from some of the oldest NYC stone importers that closed down in the 1980s due to the stiff competition from the Asian producers. This explains why much of my inventory is often available in a full selection of colors, shapes and sizes - in the same way they were made in Europe many years ago to be offered for sale to the famous jewelry houses to work with.

For over 25 years I have worked creatively with all the materials you see in my warehouse and here in my Etsy shop. This experience has gained me an extensive knowledge about all these materials and how to work with them.

All stones, components and jewellery are stored in my 200 square-meter warehouse in the center of Amsterdam.

I recently made my collection available to my fellow jewellery designers and other creative users here on Etsy. Please bear with me while we work hard to add new items to my shop.
