Nike x Skepta Air Max Tailwind 5Black & Chrome
Nike’s Air Max Tailwind V first debuted at the turn of the millennium. It just so happens that Skepta began his musical career and path to stardom at the same time, too. It’s fitting, then, that the sneaker gets the nod in the grime artist’s latest link-up with the Swoosh, and even more so given the theme is metamorphosis. The most notable reference is the uppers — they’re hazy, blue and reminiscent of the colourful patterns found on butterfly wings. The rest is just as bold, too, with iridescent panels throughout and black, exoskeleton-like overlays.
