Never fear, today I have the brand new, permanent products of the Voilette de Madame collection to share with you: Guerlain Ecrin 2 Couleurs Duo Eyeshadow and Guerlain The Eye Pencil Cream Kohl and Liner. You can fall in love with them all you like, because these gems are here to stay!
Guerlain Ecrin 2 Couleurs Duo Eyeshadow
I know there are very many fans of the Guerlain Ecrin 6 Couleur and 4 Couleur palettes who will be salivating at the prospect of these gorgeous duos! Like the 4 Couleurs it arrives packaged in a sleek golden compact with rounded edges, and embossed with the Guerlain logo.
Open it up to reveal two shades with contrasting colours and textures, plus a full-size mirror and a dual-ended applicator. One pure, matte and intense, the other a veil of sparkling or metallic luminosity. Finely milled and soft to the touch, the colours offer intense and long-lasting wear.
01 Two Rock pairs matte sage green with a dark shimmery grey. The dark grey, though it looks like a straight up ultra-shimmer in the pan, is actually quite pigmented with a medium amount of sparkle.
02 Two Stylish is a vibrant and very pigmented pairing: a matte cobalt blue and a metallic silver that leans ever so slightly green.
03 Two Extravagant is an unusual colour pairing – it reminds me of chocolate limes! The satin brown shade is quite soft in the pan, and has a slight bit of shimmer. The showstopping lime colour is extremely shimmery, offering a sort of wet-look effect.
04 Two Gossip is a distinctly regal-looking pairing. The satiny purple shade is more of a vibrant grape on the skin than the indigo it appears to be in the pan, and the metallic golden shade is beautifully warm. I think that these are absolutely perfect liner shades.
05 Two Candy is a super sweet pairing. The matte white isn’t as pigmented as the rest of the mattes in the collection, and would work best as a highlighter. The candy pink blends an abundance of pink and silver shimmer together to create a high-impact, wet-look effect.
06 Two Parisian is a classic pairing – I can absolutely see this being the most popular of the new shades. The matte black shade is perfect for lining and for smoky eyes, while the rosy nude shimmer offers a more glamorous take on a nude eye.
07 Two Lovely is a lovely pairing of blues, from the stormy blue-grey of the satin shadow, to the bright sky blue ultra-shimmer. In the pan, it looks like a sparkling ocean.
