ABOUT OUR RECYCLED COTTON
We are very proud and passionate to supply maker communities with recycled cotton, and we'd love to tell you more about how our recycled cotton is created. By taking textile waste that is otherwise headed for landfills, we get to do our part to encourage more sustainable and zero-waste production models. Pre-consumer textile waste is grouped into colour categories, then blended to create a uniform colour that doesn't require the application of dyes. This recycling and colour grouping gives the rope minuscule speckles (or freckles) that add to its beauty and hint at the ways in which waste has been repurposed, and granted new life. In some of the colours, these flecks remain visible and in some of the colours they do not. If you're after more detail about this, please do reach out and send us a message. PRODUCT DETAILS
Each roll of this gorgeous cotton cord weighs approximately 1kg and contains somewhere between 500 and 650 feet (the amount of footage per roll varies from colour to colour). This soft cotton is made from 100% recycled materials and is beautiful to work with: soft on the hands, easy to knot, maintains structure well, and brushes into lustrous fringe.

4mm triple strand cotton (3 ply) is the perfect material for making large wall hangings, small wall hangings, feathers, plant hangers, wedding arches, curtains, mandalas—anything, really. The most versatile and beginner friendly cotton I offer in my shop, the beauty of triple strand twisted cotton is that has many different “looks” when used in macrame:

-leave the three strands twisted for the look of rope
-easily untwist the three strands for a differently textured appearance (curly, almost like ramen noodles)
-easily brush the cotton to achieve a smooth, creamy looking fringe.

Unlike some triple strand cottons on the market, this rope is SOFT. You won’t find any softer, and you really just have to try it for yourself to see :)
