20 Minute Tiger Moth Flight 1048207

My 88 year old mother has a great experience in the Tiger Moth. The Classic Wings staff at Duxford were brilliant with her and very much helped her have a great flight. I would recommend this event and the Classic Wings team.

Flight was very enjoyable and was allowed to take gentle control for a short while, but this gift was for 20 minutes but only realised when landing that it had only lasted 16 at the most.. 11:50 to 12:06. They obviously thought it was the 15 min flight, but too late to say anything once I was on the ground!

The flight in the tiger moth was a wonderful experience, flying in an open plane like aviators of a past era. I didn't feel at risk at all and was allowed to take control of the aircraft for a time. All this coupled with the venue at the Duxford Imperial War Museum made for a truly memorable day.

The flight voucher was a compete and delightful surprise. Booking online was easy and quick. The experience - a flight in a Tiger Moth at Duxford was an utter delight - quick and helpful check-in process, a really friendly and encouraging pilot/instructor and the sheer joy of piloting a historic aircraft from the historic WW2 airfield. Absolutely great from start to finish.

I bought this for my husband for his 60th birthday. Didn't realise it could only be done on a Sunday until I booked it....might have been useful to know as my daughter works Sundays so couldn't come. Directions to the place were very good BUT the names of he last 2 roads were missing, and the Perry Air sign was not very bright so we drove past!!! The experience itself though was fab! He came out waving his certificate and with a big smile on his face! The plane was beautiful, a real original and obviously cared for. Thank you for a great day.

Got to the venue and was seen straight away, only waited a short time for the plane to come in and refuel and be checked. Then went flying with Ian who was a brilliant pilot and had a smooth flight in the tiger moth considering the weather conditions. I would throughly recommend it a great day.

This was a birthday treat from my family. The gift experience itself allowed me free entry and reduced entry for my family into Duxford IWM, which houses some phenomenal aircraft so we were able to take full advantage of our trip and spend the day. The experience was easy to book and we were fortunate that the weather was good on the day of our visit. The staff were friendly and helpful, I received a pre flight briefing and a fabulous vintage style flying jacket, headset and goggles. I really looked the part. The Tiger Moth has a timeless grace and beauty. I just loved to hear the whirr of the propeller and the rumble of the engine and the flight itself was exhilarating. You are in constant communication with the pilot and I was given the opportunity to take control and fly the plane myself. The views over the surrounding countryside were fabulous. I absolutely loved it. The whole flight is filmed for you to purchase as an extra, there is no hard sell but obviously after your flight, once you watch a clip , you want to buy it as a momento of the wonderful experience.
