What'sOnStage
" Horrible Histories is back, channelling Monty Python, the Reduced Shakespeare Company and Punch and Judy along the way. And the closing number must be just about the most politically edgy thing in the West End."
The Times
"Neal Foster has been working on the Barmy Britain series since 2012 and has perfected creating engaging theatre for children. It’s funny, a little bit gross, informative, and loved by all!"
Thebmanandthelgirl
"Truly entertaining and humorous with fantastic performances by Neal Foster and Anthony Spargo. What a fabulous and quirky way to take us through British history!"
The artiscapegallery
"Few would fail to be engaged by this energetic duo who dash out the puns, the wordplay and the songs with uncompromising skill and dedication."

"Horrible Histories are the best thing to have happened to children’s history ever. The superb Neal Foster and Anthony Spargo delight, inform and entertain to make history hilarious. "

A fast-paced, fun-packed hour exactly as you would expect from ‘Horrible Histories’. Our son absolutely loved it. Plenty of ‘poo’ and ‘fart’ references, for the youngsters as well as clever current affairs jokes for adults. Can’t recommend highly enough!

The two actors who did the show were AMAZING!! We don't know how they managed to keep us focussed and entertained for a whole hour. The performance was very funny too - the whole family loved it. We expected a performance in two halves rather than a one hour show (but maybe we should have read that somewhere). Would have also been good to cover some more modern day history (like WWI and WWII). But well worth a viewing :)

My 10 yr old loved it and has previously been to see part 2 - both brilliant. Enough poo and fart references for my 4 yr old to really enjoy even if he didn’t quite get the history aspect. And the sing along Viking rap battle gave them an excuse to shout poo poo poo without getting told off. And Jason Deluro’s ‘talk dirty to me’ will never be the same again having been reworked by the nightsoil men. Got half price tickets through The Box Office so bargain too.

It was okay. A little short. Was expecting a wider cast and more concepts.

It was about 1 hour long with no interval which worked really well. It was non stop entertainment with the actors changing costumes throughout and playing all the parts between the two of them. My 11 & 8 year old were gripped. Also theatre had air conditioning.
