With this pattern you can make a so many different styles of romper. This is the older child version of the playsuit.

It has options for crotch snaps or not, and different sleeve styles.

The neckline has a casing for elastic which makes for easy on and off, and causes no problems for children who are toilet trained as they can just pull it down, then pull it back up again.

Sleeve options:
~ short sleeve with elastic casing
~ Short sleeve no elastic
~ long sleeve elastic at wrist
~ long sleeve elastic at 3/4 mark
~ 3/4 sleeve length
~ flutter sleeve 3 ways

Pant options
~ Shorts
~ Long pants with elastic at ankle
~ Long pants with traditional hem
~ Tapered pants with traditional hem.

My daughter (7) went to “fashion camp” this summer and learned beginning sewing! She wanted to make her outfit for the first day of school so we searched online for ideas. I have a sewing machine I bought 9 years ago and have used about 3 times and needless to say I’ve never used a pattern…but I knew that was the best way to create an actual outfit. We found the pattern for the Flutterby Romper on Etsy and she knew it was the one! It was a fun mother-daughter challenge that we loved working on together. I figured out the pattern and cutting, while she did most of the actual sewing. Due to the awesome step by step instructions, her outfit turned out absolutely amazing!! It’s not perfect (of course) but I hope only the first of many fantastic creations to come! She added a removable skirt/train as part of the design!😍💗
