Everything changes when you have a baby. For years, I have been making gifts for friends, family, and local craft shows--from knitted scarves to hand-stitched embroideries, I made it and loved doing so.

When my daughter was born a couple of years ago, I began sketching little snippets from her life. What began as a way to chronicle our days together (I am admittedly not that great at keeping up with the baby book!), became the theme of my Baby Days posts that I upload to my blog, Little Girl Designs, every Friday.

One day when she was still pretty tiny and definitely pre-verbal, I drew a few tiny sketches on scrap paper to see if she could point out which one was the cat, which was the little girl, and so on. She smiled when I showed her the cards and happily pointed out each one. It made me so happy and soon I was drawing more and more sketches which eventually became an alphabet book for her.

Creating an alphabet book for our daughter inspired me to make some ABC printables for the My Little Girl Designs shop. Though I am creating all of the content for this shop, it is absolutely a family business. My husband is a super-talented graphic designer and has helped with making my designs print-ready. And our daughter contributes by enthusiastically saying her ABCs when she sees one of the prints. :) We love using these prints as decoration for her nursery as well as a fun game as we point to the letters and name the images.
