Your file is most likely not an instant download because it can be customized (for example, all monograms and birth announcement designs require me to customize with your appropriate letter, color, quote, etc...)

These types of files are sent via an Etsy conversation usually within 1-2 business days of purchase, however it is important to check the shop announcement for the most up to date turn around time for customizations as it can be longer.

In April of 2016 Etsy changed the policy section to be a single uniform policy section and unfortunately did not make allowance for digital sellers to note that "NO ITEMS ARE SHIPPED." Therefore, whenever you see information about when an item is "shipped", you should consider that this is when an item is "emailed" or sent to you via an Etsy conversation. Digital sellers are working with Etsy to improve this aspect of the new policy section and I apologize in advance for any confusion.
