It's a beautiful village.
It's a beautiful village. We saw dolphins in the Moray Firth from the breakfast room at our B&B! The harbour is nice and an excellent dolphin boat trip leaves from there. The only downside was that there is no pub, and there aren't many taxi companies, which means one of you may end up as the designated driver a lot of the time.

- 9.4Scored 9.4SuperbRated superb· 13 reviewsThe location, not far from Inverness, in the small town of Avoch was very good with a view over the harbour (where we had great fun fishing for crabs and hired one of the boats to take us into the bay to Dolphin watch!) and the beach. The only slight downside was, over the road was parked an old camper van and the public convenience. It is worth mentioning that the PC was clean, newly painted and not often frequented. Plus, the upstairs accommodation which we rented looked well over the top of the PC so our view was not disturbed.

Milk,bread, butter, eggs, sugar, tea bags, coffee etc. Also included in the welcome pack we had a bottle of fizzy wine and happy chappy, both very enjoyable especially after a long walk over the old railway line from Avoch to the next village. Definitely managed our 10,000 steps that day. The weather was glorious and our Cocker Spaniel had a ball on all the beaches near and far. Definitely worth another visit.😍🤗 .

The bedroom and en-suite bathroom were very clean and up to modern standards (including USB charging near the bed). You will struggle to find a more friendly and helpful host - Rachael made my partner and me (and our dog) feel very welcome. If we are ever in the area again, we will sure check Room at the Back first.

Everything we wanted to know about the area was given including a map of the Black Isle. Very friendly couple, and room was outstanding with a view of the ocean. They made us feel really comfortable and Avoch is mostly central if you want to go anywhere. I would recomend this 4 Star B&B to everyone and well worth the money.Roy FlemingUnited Kingdom

It was perfect place for 2 families to stay. The children's play park and tennis courts out the back were amazing, a wee walk down to an adorable little beach and harbour. Avoch is a beautiful little place and the wild cat apartment was perfect!

It was a very handy place to explore the Black Isle from. What struck us were the 'extras' like the generous welcome pack, kids' toys and great selection of books and DVDs. Avoch is a busy wee village during the day but very peaceful at night time. You can see dolphins at Chanory point just up the road. We took a boat trip out to see them and this can be organised just across the road.
