Fermenting weight stones sized to a wide-mouthed mason jar (Just under 3", or 7.6cm). Wood fired, so each is unique! If you have a colour scheme preference, please let me know, but also please be advised I might or might not still have what you're looking for in stock. I don't photograph every stone I make; the provided pics give you an overarching idea of what you might expect. If you order more than one, I will try to send you a set that goes well together.
Rebate option! I get a lot of questions about ordering more than one of these, regarding the price. Because of the way Etsy is structured, I have to include shipping in my prices, so one stone is $30 including the shipping. However, since two stones will ship for the same cost as one, if you order more than one, I will refund you $5 per additional stone to make up for the shipping overages. So, in the end, $30 for the first stone, $25 for each additional stone, in the form of a rebate.
Aaaaand a caveat: International sales are a different beast. There is an additional $20 USD charge for international shipping, which Etsy is going to automatically double if you order 2 stones (to $40 USD for shipping). If you order 2 or more, I will rebate you $10 from the overall shipping fee, per additional stone you purchase.
A Note about Wood Fired Pots:
Wood firing is an exciting and labour-intensive process, and often unpredictable and serendipitous in its results. This includes wonkiness, warping, and wobbliness. The kiln gets hot enough for the clay to start to melt and warp, and that means that we don't always get out perfectly round or perfectly stable pots. And you know what? We actually don't care! The surfaces, ash melt, flame trails and colour palate that we get in exchange for a little bit of perfection/functionality is totally worth it, as far as we're concerned. However, it behooves me to tell you, dear customer, that sometimes your bowl might wobble a little on a flat table. Your mug might have a dink in it. Your pickling crock might have a cosmetic crack. That's right. These pots sometimes come out as wonky and off-kilter as I am. They've been through hell and sometimes it shows, and I'm proud of them for bearing their scars while maintaining their beauty and uniqueness. The flaws are part of them, and I wouldn't change them for the world.
