Unforgiven - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook
This is a classic Western starring Clint Eastwood who is a great actor and director. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie now as much as when it first came out. I highly recommend this movie to families who like Westerns.

Gene pool
Unforgiven, the film is a standout western with a very accomplished cast and gripping script. The shining performance is by the growly menace of Gene Hackman in one of his best roles as the protagonist to Clint Eastwoods hunger for justice and revenge. The steelbook itself is very atmospherically rendered with a sepia style photo of the man himself on the front and again on the rear in a picture of him overlooking the tombstone under a tree at sundown.(as there usually is in westerns). There is a j-card with a brief synopsis and all the usual movie details . Inside again , a sepia sundown photo of Clint and Morgan Freeman on horseback. The case , I would give 8/10. Although good it doesn't tingle my spine like the cover on the new Mondo reservoir dogs case. The film , gets a solid 9/10 as it is one of the top 10 westerns of all time.

reality western
I watched this blu ray on 120" projection for total immersion into the dark, dirty world of wild west killers. The almost constant rain denies you any chance of a comfortable perspective. Killers face their prey eye to eye. Hand guns rarely shoot straight. The cool head under fire stays alive. This is real tough stuff. Picture and sound quality are top class, you are there. From shootouts to serene scenery and reflective dialogue. And all because a woman sneered. Steelbook one of the best. When received I thought there was two discs or a booklet such is the weight of the steelbook. Looks great especially with sleeve removed. Highly recommended.

Clint's Last And Most Unforgiving Western
Nicely packaged Steelbook with an ageing sepia feel like an old wanted poster for the era. Clint made one of the last great westerns here that is worth a place in any collection. A gritty portrayal of the Old West the film like it's title can be pretty unfotgiving at times. Really strong cast and deserving of its 4 Oscars.

Unforgiven Steelbook Edition
The film arrived on time and was well packed. As for the blu ray edition all I can say is - stunning! Picture quality is the best it has ever looked in home video format. I was a little surprised that it need not have an HD Audio option, but, it still works well with a surround sound system. Would recommend for any fan of westerns.
