OEX Brewsta

This kettle is a great bit of kit for the money and is worth every penny......... BUT it is only 1.2L not the stated 1.4L. So bear that in mind when making your purchase.

Great little kettle, never bothered with one before but for a family camp of 5 it made life much easier.
Used a simple remote cannister vango gas stove and was Spot on for all our hot water and cooks.

This is a nice kettle, but the capacity is nowhere like 1.4 l. Usable capacity is ~1 l. More than that and it'd spill out the spout when boiling.

Test boil with Meru base camp gas cooking system.

Works a treat, no hot handle.

Bought this because it was the smallest compact kettle on the shelf yet it holds 3 good cups easily.

After a lot of use I am still very pleased with it, it's tough, very light and easily cleaned.

A feature I would have liked to see however is a spout whistle, as depending on how much water you're boiling it's not always obvious that it has reached boiling until the lid starts rattling.

All in all thought a great buy!

I mainly bought this kettle because it was on the shelf out of its box beside a sign that said 'our cheapest kettle'. I liked the look of it as well so was very happy until I got to the till and we found out it was hipster priced camping 'tech'. But it was cute and we were at the till so it came home with us... In use it could do with some design to go with its very appealing finish, the main annoyance is that the lid is a loose fit. It falls off unless packed and when you tip it up to get the last of the boiling water out. It would have been so easy to make a secure lid that didn't rattle in the van or burn anyone. A shame, it looks really nice.

Great little kettle - solid and sturdy. 100% recommend if it's for 2/3 mugs

OEX stuff is fab

I bought the smaller version of this kettle and was very impressed. Having just used the 1.4L Brewsta for the first time I was very disappointed. When pouring hot water it spills everywhere. A simple design flaw - no small hole in the lid, which is in the smaller kettle and it pours smoothly. Very disappointed and scalded!

I have bought two of these one on my boat and one for my campervan, they are tough and easy to clean, after a year use on my boat there is no sign of age it does not even discolor.

Boats can be a problem for things but this kettle holding up well.
