Yoga Stool

This stool is designed with purity and simplicity in mind to complement the users inward search for purity and mindfulness.
My stools are handcrafted using English oak from sustainable sources often from my own local woodland.
For the finish I have used Linseed oil which allows the beauty of the grain to shine through.
The legs and attached with a set of good quality brass plated steel hinges that will give years of use.
The legs are also angled outwards so that they are not able to fold in on themselves.

The edges are all gently rounded so there are no sharp corners.

The bottom of the legs are also rounded so that a totally comfortable position can be achieved.

The stool will let you sit in a comfortable position that keeps the spine and back straight. This enables the user to meditate in a comfortable position and with the body relaxed so that the mind is free to focus without distractions. Body weight is supported by the stool rather than the knees and this allows for long periods of uninterrupted meditation without discomfort and more importantly distraction.

The folding legs also allow easy transport and storage.

The height of the medium stool is 7.5 inches, 19cm, dropping to 6.5 inches 17cm at the front. The width is 6 inches, 15cm. The length is 18inches , 46 cm. The oak is approximately 1 inch 3cm in thickness.

Medium stools will suit heights between 5 foot 3 inches or 160cms and 5 feet 10 inches or 178 cms.

Small stools are recommended for heights under 5 foot 3 inches or 160cms. 17cm sloping to 15cm

Tall stools are recommended for heights over 5 feet 10 inches or 178 cms they are 22cm high sloping to 19cm

medium sized stool weight is approximately 4.5 lbs - 2kg - taller ones are heavier.

I make all stools to order so you can of course specify your own dimensions as each stool will be bespoke.
