One of the best games on Xbox

I was pleasantly surprised with how fast Zavvi's delivery was. It took only 2 days from ordering which was brilliant. Not only was Zavvi the cheapest seller on the Internet for this product, they also offered me a discount on my purchase through an email! The item came in perfect condition and had no problems at all. I have had the game for nearly 2 weeks now and I'm still playing it! The game starts off on the game world Pandora where you play as one of four Vault Hunters in their quest for hidden treasures and the illustrious Vault. Each character has their own strengths and special moves which you must utilise if you wish to keep up with this fast paced action. With the artwork being a unique twist of a cartoon style with an adults touch, you feel the need sometimes to look around and admire at how detailed your surroundings are. My only issue with the game is that some of the boss battles are too easy and require little to no strategy to defeat them which is unfortunate as this was the only let down in my eyes. Overall the gameplay is smooth and online is lots of fun especially with friends and with all the dlc and the main full game at this price is a bargain not to be missed! I will definitely be using Zavvi again in the near future as I am incredibly impressed with their improvements in delivery and overall service in the past 12 months.

Great Fun

After completing Borderlands 2 I thought I would give Borderlands a go. So far it has been great fun, you must remember it is a "classic game" now, when you compare it to more recent games, like Borderlands 2, however I think it is well worth the money, and very entertaining.

Hours Of Fun

The first game of the current generation to employ cartoon like graphics, with great success. This is an absolutely massive game an will keep you entertained for hours, especially with the DLC included (4 additional stories, adding around 10-12 hours of playtime). It is predominantly a first person shooter with an element of RPG where you earn experience points to give your chosen character new abilities. You can play four different character types; Soldier (automatic gun turret), Siren (phase walk), Beserker (rage which involves invulnerability whilst fighting with the enemy), and my favourite the Hunter (bloodwing - a hawk that attacks the enemy at your command). Each character has its own special ability to help you take down enemy hordes. Your quest is to discover the mysterious Vault and all its riches. Cash is earned by selling weapons acquired from loot chests or off fallen enemies and from containers in the various levels. The weapon system is unique in that the game can randomly spawn millions of flavour of guns, the best of which have elemental damage (fire, acid, shock, explosive). It's is possible to level your character(s) indefinitely, with achievements for level 50 and 61 (you will need this level for the game's most difficult boss). There are some 1,750 achievement points to be had, some of which will take nerves of steel, the majority of which you will acquire through your first play through. Split screen to player on the same console is supported. You can play 4 character co-op over Xbox live ( Microsoft's server service for online play) with either Friends or complete strangers. This is without doubt one of the best of its kind and if you want a game that will engross you for hours and give you value for money look no further. Once you have lost several hours on this game (for me around 60-70 hrs of play through) you can buy the even better sequel.
