Designed to fit a mini dachshund to perfection, this little hood will be the talk of the party! This knitting pattern is a hoot to work up, and brings giggles and smiles to anyone who sees it. The ears easily maintain their shape, and do not flop over. The horn is light and firm, and also holds its shape even when the costume is worn repeatedly. The hood sits snug but not too tight, making it easy for your pup to wear. This pattern is worked both flat and in the round. Apart from sewing on the horn and ears, this pattern is entirely seamless! The button band holds 2 buttons of your choice, (18 mm each). The instructions for this pattern are extra detailed and super clear, so you can rest assured that there will be only smooth sailing as you coast through this super fun knitting project.

When you knit this pattern, you may choose to leave the mane nice and long like a pony's, or cut it shorter in a mow-hawk style like I did in the example pictured above. The suggested yarn for this pattern comes in lots of fun colors, is all natural, and is wonderfully inexpensive.

I couldn't help myself from buying this pattern! It's just the cutest thing, and I'll be making it for my dachshund who looks so much like the one in the picture. I've only made the horn so far as I'm working on this in between Christmas gifts. This is for my own dog, and I know that she'll be the cutest in it!
