The town is charming and historic, with almost no litter.
The town is charming and historic, with almost no litter. The buildings are well maintained, and the variety of shops is pleasing. The two elements which diminished our enjoyment were the gay pride flags everywhere and the BLM signs. We were hoping to escape social justice warriors and political stances for a few days, but it was more prevalent in Shepherdstown than at home.

It has a quaint appearance, it is a collage town and the shops closed around 4. Wish there were more restaurants with full meals besides the Press Box that was pricy, but good. No place for breakfast in town. Tony's pizza was great. The towns people were friendly and accommodating. No availability for restaurants except room service. It appears to be aging property and probably low staffed due to COVID-19. I was particularly a fan of the jacuzzi, fireplace, and view from the deck attached to the room. The restaurant was to die for, as well.
