Cascara is an all natural tea made from the dried coffee fruit. We usually only consume the seeds of the coffee fruit by roasting them and drinking them as coffee. Traditionally, the skin/peel is not consumed and instead is composted at the farms. Most of the fruit's vitamins and nutrients stay in the husk, so we want to reap all its benefits by making a delicious tea with it.

We process the coffee fruit by sun drying it to preserve the natural sweetness from the whole fruit. Once dried, we let it rest for a month and then separate the dried fruit's husk/peel from the seeds to make this tea. Cascara means husk/peel in Spanish.

Cascara tea is full of natural sugars, vitamins and antioxidants and only about a quarter of the caffeine found in coffee. Its delicate yet complex flavors are unique: cherry, hibiscus with a hint of plum and honey.

This is a loose leaf tea and can be steeped 2-3 times. We provide brewing instructions for hot or cold.

We package it in different size bags from 2 oz (8 cups) to 8 oz (32 cups). If you want larger quantities, please email me for a custom order.
