Where is my international order?

We ship all products from the United States. If you live outside of the United States, it can take up to 30-40 days to receive your order. This is due to the nature of customs mostly, but there could be other delays as well. You may be responsible to contact and work with customs in your country to ensure delivery. We are not responsible for orders lost outside of the US. The United States Postal Service has no recourse once the package leaves the country unless you pay for express tracking and guaranteed delivery.

You must provide an English translation of your address (mostly applicable to Asian or Arabic countries) or we cannot send your order. If you do not provide an English translation, we will attempt to reach out to you. If you have not responded in a timely manner, we will be left with no alternative than to refund your money and cancel the shipment. We would love to fulfill your order, but our mailing system will not allow foreign languages for names and addresses.

My international order is lost. What do I do?

In addition, we are not responsible for orders lost in the mail once they leave the US. If they have been scanned outside of the US, the responsibility will be yours to contact the postal service in your country to work through any delays (the USPS cannot do anything once it leaves the US -- trust us, every time we ask, they tell us they won't help with First Class international shipments). We are willing to describe what the package looks like if you need that information to help in their search. This step is crucial and usually results in the package being delivered. So if you see that your package is in your country but seems stalled, get a hold of them ASAP and submit a Missing Mail request or whatever process they offer to finding it. Most, if not all, shipments outside of North America are further insured by myself via a third party. So if your international shipment has still not been received after 40 days since we shipped it out to you, then again reach out and we'll submit an insurance claim. Once that claim has been processed and received back, we will reach out to you to send off a new shipment. So we will take care of you, but there are some time restraints on how quickly this process will take.

What about customs and import taxes?

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. We are not responsible for delays due to customs.

Do I need to buy shipping insurance for my order?

First Class USPS (now called Ground Advantage) mail now does include up to $100 of insurance and only basic tracking. If you are buying any items that are breakable (acrylic overlays, 3d miniatures, etc), you should choose a shipping method that insures your order’s value against breakage.

If you have known issues with mail not arriving at your place, you should choose to insure your package in case it goes missing. Without a successful insurance claim, we are unable to refund or send replacements.

Does the Priority Mail option include insurance?

Yes, domestic US orders where USPS Priority Mail is chosen at checkout, includes insurance up to $100. This only covers the items and not the shipping charge. So if there is damage, you need to file a claim with the USPS for the damage and if and when they approve your claim, you’ll be refunded the amount of the damaged item, but the shipping fees are not refundable because they technically did deliver it to you. (That’s their policy, not ours.)

Lost, stolen or damaged orders:

All items are inspected before packing to be undamaged and in working order. We take great care to protect our products when shipping them, but how our packages are treated once they leave our shop is completely out of our hands.

We are also not responsible for porch pirates and stolen mail. You will need to submit a Missing Mail claim with the USPS if your package says it got delivered and you can’t find it. Do this as soon as possible as your mail carrier may remember where they put it, but wait too long and that memory will be lost too. Talk with neighbors to see if the package was delivered to them instead.

DAMAGE: In the unlikely event that your item is damaged upon delivery you must contact us within 72 hours describing the damage along with pictures of the damage and the shipping box. You need to keep all items including the shipping box and packaging until your insurance claim is concluded. If you fail to follow these instructions you will not receive a refund and/or replacement.

If they arrive damaged and if you paid for insurance (Priority mail offers insurance up to $100), you will need to file a damage claim with the USPS. The reason you need to be the one who files this claim is because the USPS may require an inspection of the damaged products, original packaging, wrapping, and all items included in the same box with the damaged items. LaserLand has no control over what happens to the items once they leave our hands. We take great care in protecting them the best we can. We will, however, help you in anyway we can with your damage claim so please let us know. When you’ve received your refund from the USPS, we will set up a custom replacement order so you can get the broken piece replaced. If it is denied, then we can discuss the next option for replacement.

How do I know when my package will arrive?

Etsy sends you an email once the shipping label has been printed for your order with the tracking number. We encourage all of our customers to use delivery apps or services that notify you of your packages. We personally use one called Deliveries on iOS but there are many different ones. These types of services are really helpful especially if you know that your neighborhood isn’t all that reliable or that you’ve had missing mail before. Perhaps you don’t have a locked mailbox. Knowing the day your item will arrive is critical so you can arrange to be home or ask a neighbor to pick it up for you.

Does my address need to be verified first?

If you have never verified your address with the USPS, we recommend you do so and make sure you update your Etsy profile with that exact address so there are no issues when it comes time for us to print out a shipping label for you. Unverified addresses slow the shipping process down as we will then have to reach out to you to confirm it. Please make sure you put your first AND last name on your label. First name only labels are not ideal.

May I ship an order to someone on vacation?

Please do not ask us to ship to places where you or the recipient will be going on vacation. Vacation rentals do not all have their own mailboxes nor do you truly know it is a safe place to send orders (porch pirates, etc). If you choose to do this, you are taking on all of the risk. We will not send replacements.
