Flappy Flounder didn’t get his name because of his slim profile or his awkward locomotion; he got it because of the flounders’ reputation as the ocean’s most notorious gossips. They spend so much time skulking about, pressed up against the ocean floor, surreptitiously watching all the goings on for so long their eyeballs actually migrate around to better see the juicy parts! Then they gather around and flap their lips until they’ve dished all they can & then go off and do it all again.

The examples were made with various worsted weight (8 or 10 ply) wool yarns & US size F (3.75 mm) hook, but almost any yarn could be used with the corresponding hook size. The finished measurements are about 6 inches across, but size will change with choice of yarn & hook. Stitch descriptions & helpful links to tutorials are included.
