Good quality paper for this gift-box-craft. The apple is super cute! The tabs end up showing when you fold it which makes it look at tad different from the picture. But silty really cute. The tip of using tweezers was very helpful as it is a bit hard to fold the tabs.

Most of my ideas for architecture and paper crafts begin on the drafting table.

I've been a tinkerer my entire life. For as long as I can remember I wanted to be an architect. I nurtured that dream by building houses and things for my dolls as a child. I continued building through university, enjoying the many all-nighters constructing intricate models of the ideas in my head.

As a professional I have designed houses - and many of them - to become lifetime homes for families across the United States. The building part, however, was the domain of the carpenters and the roofers and the cabinet makers. I used my hands and actively created in other ways, like the time that I made exact replicas of my neighbor's houses in gingerbread as Christmas gifts one manic marathon evening.

It wasn't until after completing a master's degree in historic preservation mid-career that I started building again. Burnt out from all the reading and writing, I began to design fun invitations for my nephew's birthday party. Boxes soon followed. Empowered by the response on Etsy, I began to build more and more, reconnecting with one of the most intrinsic joys I have known my entire life.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to receive invitations?

I have my invitations professionally printed, which can take a week. The printing timeframe starts AFTER the proof is approved.

All invitations are shipped via USPS from Baltimore, Maryland. Standard shipping can take 2-5 days in the US and International shipping varies. I do offer shipping upgrades.

It is a good idea to order invitations at least 2 weeks before you need to mail them out.

When will I receive a proof?

I do send a proof, or digital sample, for all invitation orders. The proof will be sent via a convo on Etsy. As long as all party details are included in the order, I generally send a proof the morning after an order is placed, Monday through Friday. Occasionally it can take two business days for me to send a proof. Revisions are completed within 24 hours, but often the same day.

Custom orders will take longer to create. Please contact me to develop a timeframe.
