You are invited to crochet a beautiful simple oval base bag with me.

Skill level – Easy

Materials
ARTland COLOMBIA TRICOT Yarn – 2 skeins. You will use approx. 1 kg & 8 mm crochet hook.
You can use any other thin T-Shirt yarn and a suitable crochet hook for this project.
A tapestry needle to weave in all extra yarn.
Sewing threads in the yarn color and a suitable needle.
TEDDY'S WOOL - MACARONI yarn - Approx. 4 m/157.5” long - will be used for a cord creation.
You can use any other 4 Medium category yarn for the cord creation.
Stitch markers - yarn in a different color than the color being crocheted.
2 washers – 3 cm/1.18” diameter.
A leather handle - I used a 128 cm/50.39” length and 2 cm/0.78” width & 2 suitable rivets -

!!! please note !!! in order to join the leather to the washers you should either be familiar with the joining rivets technique or ask a shoemaker’s assistance.

You can decide on different handle measurements or a different type of handle for your bag.

Measurements: Height: approx. 33 cm/13” Max width: approx. 35 cm/13.77” Depth: approx. 12 cm/4.72” Weight: approx. 1kg.

Abbreviations and techniques: single crochet, wrong side, right side, crochet in rounds using a spiral method

This was my first crochet project, and these instructions are easy to follow and the bag is beautiful! Even if you don't have all of the right tools, it is still worth trying. For the leather strap, I used a hammer and a nail to punch the holes and found a video online to learn how to use a rivet (it's easier than it sounds). I also don't know how to sew yarn together, so I tied it and made sure the knots were inside the bag.
