The tree arrived well packed and quickly by DHL. It comes in a charming wooden box. It is difficult to tell by the photos but it is a 3-D puzzle. The four sides of the tree are held together by three slotted disks, one at the bottom, one in the middle and one at the top. There are holes for string to secure the panels to make it sturdier. The four wooden panels are beautiful and show the grain of the wood. There are plenty of places to hang ornaments. I ordered the 120 cm so that it would fit on a table top. My only disappointment is how thin the wood is. It seems too delicate for standard Christmas lights so I will have to find a lighter set. I am also concerned that it can be easily broken. However, with care we will enjoy it for many years.
