These folks are the "largest animal protection organization" in the US. With more than 11 million supporters they work tirelessly to improve the lives of animals big and little. Their efforts range from legislative reform to animal rescue, and cruelty investigations to care programs including sanctuaries, shelters, rehab centers, clinics and more. 2. The Rainforest Alliance
With a unique approach this organization is working to "conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior." They've turned things on their heads and are helping protect forests by making conservation profitable.
