A lightweight and compact tent with a very low silhouette, ideal for expeditions, bike trips or wild camping.

The OEX Phoxx II is a stable 2-person tunnel tent for those who like to pack light, with room to store your gear and get a dry night's sleep.

Its pre-angled poles easily run through the inner tent for a quick pitch and give the tent straighter sides, while the tough guylines ensure you can get always get a secure hold in even the windiest conditions.

The durable poly flysheet won't falter in arduous conditions, and if you prefer you can just peg down the inner on its own for an insect-free rest stop or when travelling in hot climates.

With a short pack length that will fit inside most backpacks or bike panniers, and a colour scheme that blends into your surroundings at night, it's the perfect choice for a spot of wild camping.

Great tent for the price

Great tent for the price, spacious, no condensation issues even in summer with 2 people in it (realistically should be used as a 1 man but I managed to fit my pack in with 2 of us)

jnner pitch first is stupid for uk use

This would be as good,if not better then the Vango Banshee,if only it pitched outer first. Why do manufacturers persist with this stupid inner first pitching design.? No use at all for the UK climate.

Fantastic lightweight tent

Pros - Warm, spacious for one, easy to pitch, zero condensation in the morning, strong

Niggles - pitching inner first in the rain is risky if you’re not quick about it

Great Little backpacking tent

A great little tent, a great price.

I’m not a small guy and it fits me and my bag perfectly.

Looking forward to using this on many more adventures.

Definitely recommend

Good tent, poor pegs

Great little tent. The mesh walls were a selling point for me as I hope to be able to leave the fly sheet off in summer to allow me to sleep under the stars without being eaten alive by midges. Very easy to pitch but the pegs provided are very poor indeed. I advise anyone thinking of using this tent in windy conditions or unknown terrain to invest in some decent pegs. Overall, very good tent, great value, bit drafty (Good sleeping system required), rubbish pegs.

Good value for money

Perfect tent for 1 person. Enough for a spacious sleep and large rucksack inside. Kept warm and dry all night. I only wish it would pack down smaller but overall a very good buy!

Scout leaders hike tent

Perfectly functional as a hike tent for 2 adults. You’d need to put your rucksack in a polybag and leave it outside, but was fine.
Was put up this weekend in stormy weather and is very simple and quick. Brilliantly waterproof, took lots of shaking to get the beads off and for it to dry in the sun. Very sturdy groundsheet which adds a few grams, but absolutely no water ingress (it was very wet).
But if an art to entering and exiting, but I guess I’m not as flexible as I used to be....
For the sale price you’d do well to beat it. At £75 it’s still perfectly reasonable, but at £100 I’d be doing a bit more comparison work.
Dry bag style bag is brilliant and fits everything easily when rolled.
Up in about 2 mins (first time ever), with practice and need it could’ve quicker...
If it was pouring you’d want to put off pitching it until it’s eased as the inner goes up first and the fly is clipped to the inner and then pegged.
Comments about the inner being breezy are correct, but in a decent sleeping bag it is not a problem and prevents condensation. 3 Deg last night and was fine, baring a chilly nose !!
Would I buy again?, yep.

OEX Phoxx ll 2 person tent

I only got this tent a couple of days ago and I was very pleased with it I'm 14 years old and I'm 5'8 I had lots of room for me and my backpack I was faced with 20 mph winds and heavy downpour
I slept for 2 days in it and stayed very dry though out the trip it rolled very small and it is lightweight fits very nicely in my backpack along my other gear I highly recommend this tent.

Ok but...

I bought this tent a few weeks back and just got to try it out in the lake District, its light, easy to assemble and packs away small but its missing something! The fly sheet lets wind straight in under the sides and through the mesh walls of the inner skin and I was FREEZING. It could do with solid walls on the inner as oppose to just mosquito net. Shame really as going from the other reviews i was expecting a bit better.

Good tent

Very good tent. Purchased knowing I was going to be camping in 50+ Mph winds and knew my existing tent was on its last legs.
This tent is very easy to erect even in high winds. Inner tent needs to be erected first though. It's not the highest tent so don't expect ot be able to sit up in it. It easily fit myself and my gear but I think it might be a struggle to accommodate two people + gear in my opinion.
Only issue I had was the air vent on the highest side did flap around quite a bit but it was very windy.
If you're after a back packing or lightweight tent no need to look any further. I would change out the pegs for some which are a bit more heavy duty.

Tent

Great tent and price. Completed lots of research and shopping around and this tent fulfilled my needs (cycle tour and back packing) and best value. Size is good compared to other models. Packed size and weight is better than rival more expensive brands, the waterproofness is a high rating, I have been lucky and the weather had been dry when I’ve used it so can’t say anything about the waterproofness. Easy to erect tent.

Impressive

I bought this tent before hitchhiking in Scotland and Ireland.
The most impressive thing is the weight, the tent is very light, I had no problem carying it in my back pack. The tent comes with the heavier steel pegs which I swapped out for the lighter Aluminium pegs from the same brand which are also very good and further reduce weight and also don't have the anoying habit of bending like the steel ones.
The tent has enough space to squeeze two slim but tall (6"5 and 5"11) people and also 2 back packs one at either end. There isn't quite enough space to fit large back packs between the 2 fly sheets without touching the sides but there is plenty of space for boots or other items. We could just about sit up in the tent (but we are both pretty tall).
It was rainy and windy several nights and we woke up dry and happy (not storm conditions but definitely pretty wet and windy).
It's also quick and easy to assemble.
Very impressed with the tent especially the price and weight. Not sure how it will last over a long time as have only used it for a week. The tent comes in a dry bag style bag which I also like.
Excellent value for money, very glad I bought it.
