This charming two-bedroom barn conversion is located within the grounds of Wattisham Hall. Overlooking tranquil Suffolk countryside and a medieval moat, it’s an ideal place for a small family wanting to immerse themselves in nature.

Wooden beams, terracotta flooring, and creamy tones create a relaxing atmosphere in this charming, one-level holiday home. After a day exploring, step into the open-plan living area and relax on the sofa in the lounge. Swathed in natural light, it’s a pleasant place to unwind, watch a film or simply chat with your loved ones. When the weather is good push open the patio doors and let the fresh countryside air breeze in. At mealtimes, a neat kitchen has every appliance you’ll need to rustle up a delicious meal and then serve it at the dining table with seating for four people. At either end of the living area, you’ll find two bedrooms. Choose between a zip-and-link super king-size bed and a twin bedroom. Both rooms are light and breezy with whitewashed walls, soothing tones, and a pristine bathroom adding to the sense of comfort. The super-king bedroom also boasts views of the moat. After a good night’s sleep, step outside and enjoy breakfast at the garden table or enjoy a soak in the hot tub. Children can also enjoy the swings and slide in the outdoor park and table tennis or table football in the games room. These play areas are shared with two neighbouring cottages.

Wildlife lovers will enjoy spotting otters, hare, and deer in the surrounding countryside while children can spend a morning petting the alpacas at the local alpaca farm. Wattisham Airfield Museum is also worth a visit (3 miles) and is full of vintage aircraft. For a day out, head to Lavenham, England’s finest medieval village (9.5 miles). Stroll through the old lanes, browse the independent shops, and enjoy some fine dining at one of the excellent restaurants.
